I recently had the chance to explore MUD Cosmetics and boy am I excited to show you guys the travel palette of my dreams.
MUD (Make-up designory) Domestics is a brand that slowly creeped up on me and blew me out of the waters. Sold exclusively at Sears Canada, I had the chance to play around with some of their most popular pieces, including this stunning palette.
How to make your best palette
MUD has a wide range of eye color refill pans (50 shades, to be exact) that can be used with their Universal Magnetic Palette, which retails for $20. It’s compact, travel-friendly, eco-friendly, and you can create the palette of your dreams—which is exactly what I started to do. I have 6 shadows, but I can create multiple looks since I included lid colors, crease colors, transition shades, and of course, a true black color that will elevate any smoky look. The formula is smooth, pigmented, and incredibly blendable. Add in a contour and setting powders ($16) and your palette is complete!
Don’t forget a few other essentials
MUD Cosmetics has quite the selection of brushes. They’re not necessarily low-cost, but the quality is super high. I personally have a stash of travel brushes that are completely separate from my day-to-day collection. (This makes it easier when it comes to last-minute getaways.)
I’ve also been carrying MUD’s mascara tube ($19), which is so convenient in shape, and the vitamin E-infused Lip Glaze in Magnolia ($17) to keep my lips hydrated on-the-go. Of course, to complete the travel kit, you can’t go anywhere with a make-up remover and MUD has it all. The Facial Cleanser and Make-up Remover ($36) is naturally hydrating without the sticky oil-residue of most make-up removers. It’s the perfect addition to your travel essentials!
