Lightweight foundations you need to try ASAP

The humidity is picking back up and it’s a great reminder to have a solid lightweight foundation at your disposal. (Like the amazing IT Cosmetics CC Cream!) We rounded-up a few new (and old) products that will deliver long-lasting flawless skin.

IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream Swatches Top to Bottom: Light/Medium (Oil-Free Formula) and Medium/Tan (Original Formula)

Laneige BB Cushion Swatches Top to Bottom: Cinnamon, Sand.

IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50

If you prefer an overall flawless coverage with very little weight, the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream ($49) is a must. The shade range is limited to 7 colors, but you can always add darker or lighter pigmentation drops to create your own shade (but we understand how that’s not the best solution). Skip your primer, skip your corrector, skip your foundation—this is the only thing you need for that natural glow-y base. The IT Cosmetics CC Cream formula is opaque, but lightweight, and it’s also infused with all the good stuff: collagen, peptides, hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and antioxidants. The formula is also very resistant to creases, so you don’t have to set it with powder. If you’re a carry-on traveler, this tube of wonder also has SPF 50, so you can easily trim your makeup routine by 60% and leave room for more cute outfits.

IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Oil-Free Matte with SPF 40

Whereas the original IT Cosmetics CC+Cream has a natural, almost dew-y finish, the new IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Oil-Free Matte with SPF 40 ($49) dries matte. With 12 shades to choose from, the oil-free formula is meant to hold strong for half your day—while maintaining that lightweight serum feel. The IT Cosmetics CC Cream comes with all the great ingredients as its older sibling, just tailored for oily-to-combo skin!

Laneige BB Cushion Hydra Radiance SPF 50

The Laneige BB Cushion Hydra Radiance SPF 50 ($49) tends towards more of a sheer foundation. The formula remain hydrating and ‘wet-like’, but the double pigmentation particles delivers a medium coverage that’s relatively build-able. The formula is refreshing and extremely radiant. The dense air cushion applicator is cool to use and feels like it’s infinitely soaked with BB cream (you get a lot of product). For hot, humid weather, we reached for this almost every time we needed a full face of makeup. It’s super compact and travel-friendly, meaning you can bring it along anywhere for occasional touch-ups if you prefer not to powder for longevity. Only thing? It’s limited to about 6 shades.
