This is literally the best time of the year for fragrances.
Remember when we were in love with Givenchy’s Dahlia Divin (read here)? Well, our senses have been transitioned from cool floral and fruits to pure golden warmth with Givenchy’s newest launch, Dahlia Divin Eau Initiale ($113). The scent is pure intoxication, with its musky base and Sambac Jasmine and Magnolia notes. They kept the beautiful rectangular glass bottle, but added a milky glass stain—which is perfect for the smooth warm scent. We wore this everyday during our LA trip and got stopped multiple times by people looking to find out more about our fragrance.
For the men reading, Givenchy also released the new Gentleman Eau de Parfum ($119). Made for the modern-day gentleman (fronted by Aaron Taylor Johnson), it carries an elegant balance between woody and floral, with notes that include black pepper, iris, patchouli, and black vanilla. (Basically, super delicious blend.)
You’ve surely seen the ads by now (with Angelina Jolie) for the House’s newest fragrance, Mon Guerlain ($119, 50ml). An ode to strength and femininity, the glass quadrilobe bottle housing pink liquid is both beautiful and intricate. (It’s Guerlain‘s iconic look!) Another warm fragrance for summer, the notes include Jasmine, Lavender, and Vanilla—all of which deliver a warmth and spice to your senses. This one is intoxicating, but makes for a lovely day or night-time scent!
Another one for our male readers, the MONTBLANC Legend Night Eau de Parfum ($87, 50ml) is a must for summer evenings on the patio. Completely new to our senses, the Eau de Parfum opens bright, but settles into warm cedar wood and jasmine notes. The bottle is beautiful, with the glass stained the perfect amber, reminiscent of a delicious glass of liquor. Perfect for Father’s Day, by the way!
We had no idea KENZO had beautiful fragrances to offer and we were pleasantly surprised by their Kenzo World Eau de Toilette ($91, 50ml). First thing that caught our eye (pun intended) is KENZO’s iconinc ‘Eye’ wrapped in a beautiful millennial pink. The scent itself screams summer, with a fruit floral combination of pear, peony, and iris. It’s delicate, sweet, and lingers just enough to catch everyone’s attention—seriously perfect for summer days!
Ah, how can we not include Mugler’s Angel Eau Sucree (we’re big fans, obviously). This might be our 3rd or 4th bottle in the last 2 years, it’s a total staple in our fragrance rotation. It has 3 deliciously delightful levels: red fruit sorbet, caramelized meringue, patchouli and vanilla. The scent is both strong, but delicate, and tends to linger on your clothes and skin—just how we like it!
Stay tuned for part II!
