How to turn your flight into a spa (affordable)

Summer is definitely the time to be packing up your bags and exploring the world. Garnier has everything you need to turn your flight skincare.

Cleanse your skin

No matter what I do, I always feel grimy in the airport, so as soon as the seatbelt sign is turned off, I pull out my cleanse and go to town. Garnier has two incredible options that you can bring on the plane: their new SkinActive Micellar Water for Oily Sensitive Skin and their SkinActive Makeup Removing Micellar Wipes. I have 3-4 bottles of the SkinActive All-in-One Micellar Water (pink top), but the new All-in-One version removes make-up while mattifying oily skin. The SkinActive Makeup Removing Micellar Wipes are your newest, liquidless options. They’re not as effective as the micellar water, but I love them as my 1st step in breaking down my base or eye-makeup, before I go in with the micellar water.

Layer that moisture

My skin suffers during flights and I always walk off the runaway looking dull, dry, and exhausted. My way to combat recycled plane air is to layer on moisture and use BB creams over foundations. You can turn Garnier’s Moisture Bomb Antioxidant Super Moisturizer into a hydrating mask by applying a thick layer after cleansing. It’s infused with Goji berry, vitamin C, vitamin E, and hyaluronic acid to fight off free radicals and keep your skin healthy. For an added bonus, wipe off the excess of your Moisture Bomb cream right before landing and apply a thin layer of Garnier’s Moisture Rescue followed by a hint of color with Garnier’s 5-in-1 BB Miracle Skin Perfector—so you’re ready to hit the ground running!

Don’t forget your SPF

Most importantly, you’re constantly exposed to UV rays up in the air, so make sure—before you land—to use an SPF. Two great options are the Ombrelle Ultra Light Advanced SPF 60 Tinted Lotion, which is a 100% mineral sunscreen with broad-spectrum protection. (It can replace the BB cream step if you prefer!) For my sensitive peeps, Ombrelle’s Hypoallergenic Mineral Lotion with SPF 50 is made for children, but that also means it’s made for extremely delicate and sensitive skin. Both of these are water-resistant and will do me well when I land in sunny LA next week!
